Project A – Variable Star Photometry of Beta Lyrae (Eclipsing Binary in the constellation Lyra)

Shashank and Shishir’s Science Fair Project included photometry of Eclipsing Binary star Beta Lyra. The following were the results clearly showing 13 days period with two minima and two maxima. Both minima were of different magnitude confirming that both stars are not of equal magnitude. Also the irregularity of the magnitude changes confirming presence of accretion disk.
